Crouching Ancien Regime, Hidden Emerging New Order, the U.S. and China

This panel will focus upon three points of needed attention: 1. the emergence of the Belt and Road Initiative, and its political economy; it's meaning in world politics for the coming decades; 2. the geopolitical/military ploys of the United States and the European Union and the targeting of the Peoples Republic of China a centerpiece of those ploys; and 3. China's ongoing and emerging politico-economic interactions with nation states, non-governmental organizations, and regional/continental groups of Africa and Latin America. The point of agreement of the panelists is that advanced understanding of these focii of world politics is mandatory for the further development of the left's internationalist theories and practices for this century and beyond.
