Public Education’s Racist High School Admissions Practices and the Historic Parent/Community/Neighborhood-Led struggle for Control of Our Public Schools

This workshop links the 50 year failure of Public Schools in the boroughs serving Black and Latino Working Class Students and their families, neighborhoods and Communities and the ongoing Parent led efforts of Community and Neighborhood Control of NYC’s Schools to the Racist Admissions Practices of our Specialized High Schools and the UFT/DoE/City and State Government’s Policies and Responsibility in it all.
