Description:
With a Democratic Supermajority in the State legislature, why is it that we cannot pass single payer healthcare? Why are there private prisons? Poverty and homelessness? Fracking? Student debt? California is the 5th largest economy in the world but it seems like our elected officials have another agenda. Well, it’s TIME TO TRANSFORM THE PARTY. The Transform the Party panel will examine the California Democratic Party’s inner workings and structural advantages given to incumbent office holders to secure their continuum of power and flow of PAC contributions. Panelists are delegates to the California Democratic Party who will show you how you can get a seat at the table – and flip it over.
